EXPLAINATION

What are ClearCorrect braces?

ClearCorrect aligners are comfortable, removable, nearly invisible, and, best of all, they work without impacting your daily life.

Eat what you want, brush and floss as usual, and get straighter teeth without anyone knowing you’re in treatment—it’s that simple.

Consultation

If you require teeth straightening treatment, you or your dentist may suggest ClearCorrect. At your initial consultation your dentist will be able to tell you if you're suitable for ClearCorrect braces and what the treatment involves. You will be able to weigh up the options between invisible, removable and fixed braces.

Treatment

Before you can have your custom made ClearCorrect aligner, you'll need to have an impression of your mouth taken. This is to ensure that the bespoke ClearCorrect aligner fits comfortably in your mouth and will work properly to align your teeth. Once your impression has been used to create the aligner, your dentist will invite you back to try the aligner.

Aftercare

You'll be required, like any orthodontics treatment, to frequently visit the dentist throughout the treatment to ensure that the ClearCorrect aligner is working correctly and yielding the desired results. Further information about how to care for your ClearCorrect aligner can be found below.

APPEARANCE

WHAT DO CLEARCORRECT ALIGNERS LOOK LIKE?

ClearCorrect aligners are made from a multi-layer medical-grade plastic that was designed over years of research and trials. The result is a stunningly transparent and resilient aligner that moves teeth effectively.

RESULTS

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO WEAR CLEARCORRECT BRACES FOR?

It’s recommended that you wear the aligners 22 hours a day. They should be removed only for meals, brushing and flossing before re-inserting the aligner. If not worn for up to 22 hours a day, the corrective process can be halted and within a few hours begin to reverse. It can then take several days for this process to start up again.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will I have my ClearCorrect braces for?

That depends entirely on the treatment goals you set with your dentist, and the amount of correction that needs to be achieved. Treatment time can at times exceed estimates. Poor compliance, missing appointments, excessive bone growth, poor oral hygiene and broken appliances can make treatment time longer, increase costs and affect the quality of your results.

Treatment time can also vary considerably depending on an individual’s health and physiology. Much of orthodontic tooth movement relies on metabolism and bone remodeling. Further, the rate of tooth movement is not always linear and also depends on the type of movement being performed. For these reasons, treatment times are estimates based on the dentist’s clinical findings and experience.

How do I clean my ClearCorrect braces?

The aligners are fairly simple to keep clean. ClearCorrect aligners can be cleaned with a toothbrush and cool soapy water. Cleaning and disinfection tablets are also available. However, tooth decay, periodontal disease, decalcification (permanent markings on the teeth) or inflammation of the gums may occur if proper oral hygiene and preventative maintenance is not maintained.
